Children Encouraged to Live as Disciples of Jesus
By, Mrs. Heng Sayorn

Thirty-four children from Phnom Penh and nearby areas gathered September 17–19, 2026, for the Children’s Discipleship Training Program, “I Am a Disciple of Jesus,” organized through collaboration among the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) Children’s Ministries and Sabbath School,
Southeast Asia Mission (SEUM) Children’s Ministry, and Cambodia Adventist Mission (CAM) Children’s Ministry.

The three-day program aimed to help children develop a personal relationship with Jesus and understand what it means to live as His disciples. SSD Children’s Ministries representative Danita P. Caderma and SEUM Children’s Ministry representative Agusta Pheng led presentations and activities focused on five foundations of discipleship: knowing Jesus, loving Jesus, following Jesus, serving others, and sharing Jesus.

Through worship, group discussions, activities, and fellowship, the children were encouraged to apply these lessons in their homes, churches, and communities.

For CAM, the training represents an investment in the next generation of disciples, encouraging children to recognize their value in God’s family and their ability to share His love with others.
