More than 1,000 people were baptized following a nationwide evangelistic series in Cambodia, marking one of the second largest reaping events in the country’s Adventist history.
The outreach focused the whole Cambodia which also included the Northeast, a region home to diverse ethnic communities including Kuy, Brao, Kreung, Tampuan, Phnong, Jarai, Lao, and Vietnamese minorities.
Since the beginning of 2025, local workers and church members in Cambodia have a strong commitment to sharing the gospel with their relatives, friends, and neighbors. Guided by the leadership of Pastor Roger Caderma, president of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), and supported by Pastor Somchai Chuenjit, president of the Southeast Asia Union Mission (SEUM), the Cambodia Adventist Mission (CAM) has been blessed with both financial resources and skilled trainers to help carry out the Harvest 2025 initiative.
This vital support has equipped CAM to conduct training programs and strengthen efforts toward fulfilling its mission. In addition, CAM expresses heartfelt gratitude for the contributions of other partners. Dr. Gary Wagner, regional director of Gospel Outreach, has mobilized 44 Gospel Outreach workers who continue to evangelize and bring many souls to God’s kingdom. Mr. Darryl Hosford, president of ASAP Ministries, has also provided 64 dedicated workers who serve faithfully in advancing the mission. Further encouragement and partnership came from Cami Oetman, vice president of Adventist World Radio (AWR), who has actively supported the work in Cambodia.
CAM extends deep appreciation to every supporter—whether through funds, training, or missionary service. Together, the contributions are helping to bring the message of Jesus to many people across Cambodia and make the vision of Harvest 2025 a reality.
From Sept. 17–20, 2025, the Cambodia Adventist Mission (CAM), conducted the big harvest 2025 evangelism initiative by the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), the Southeastern Asia Union Mission (SEUM), with the financial support from the Adventist World Radio (AWR). The evangelistic meetings are held at 25 sites across seven provinces and Phnom Penh city. Despite heavy rains, holiday travel, and regional instability, 1,022 people chose baptism on September 20, 2025.
International and regional leaders, including SSD President Pastor Roger Caderma, SEUM President Pastor Somchai Chuenjit, AWR Vice President Cami Oetman, joined local pastors, Bible workers, and members in supporting the effort.
“This historic harvest is a testimony of God’s power and the dedication of His people in the last day event with the gift of the latter rain of the Holy Spirit,” said CAM President Pastor Hang Dara. “The mission in Cambodia is not finished, but we are encouraged to continue reaching unreached villages with the gospel.”
As of October 1, 2025, a total of 1,701 precious souls has surrendered their lives to God through baptism. Each number represents a life transformed and a heart committed to following Jesus. With this milestone, the church in Cambodia stands just steps away from reaching the faith-filled goal set for this year, a testimony to God’s power and the dedication of His people.
As Harvest 2025 continues, CAM leaders remain committed to sowing seeds of faith, believing that this milestone is only the beginning of a greater spiritual movement in the country. The Cambodia Adventist Mission urgently appeals to the world church for continued prayer and support as thousands of new believers have recently joined God’s kingdom. While evangelism has brought a great harvest, the pressing challenge now is to nurture these precious souls through church planting, discipleship, and spiritual care. Without strong support, many may struggle in their new walk of faith. Jesus’ words in John 21:16, “If you love me, take care of my sheep,” remind us of our sacred duty to care for His flock. CAM calls on the global Adventist family to stand together in prayer and action as we prepare for Christ’s soon return.
